BIOGRAPHY and ARTWORKS
Edeltraud Thier is an artist with roots in the Waldviertel. After graduating in Zwettl, Lower Austria, she became a teacher for arts education and English. In addition to her teaching
job she always was active as an artist and then as chairwoman of the Art Club Zwettl also head of the BLUE and YELLOW GALLERY at Rosenau Castle. Since 2000 she has been living in Vienna,
where she studied again - among others - art history.
Her paintings and collages in an abstract-expressive style have been presented in numerous national and international exhibitions as in Hotel Mariott nnsbruck, Gallery ART and BUSINESS
Zurich, IBIZA ART FAIR and BORDERS ART FAIR in Venice.
In her unique artworks - her themes mostly are emotions and moods - one can feel her joy for the interplay of vivid colors, various structures and materials. Her varied oeuvre also
contents geometric compositions, brought into an aesthetically refined form and executed very detailed and precisely.
